Estonia, now Europe’s top-performing country in the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), is taking a progressive approach to education by embracing digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) in schools. Contrary to trends in countries like England where smartphones are often banned, Estonian students are encouraged to use their devices for learning. Beginning in September, 16- and 17-year-olds will receive personal AI accounts, part of the national initiative “AI Leap”. The Guardian
